I think I’ve already admitted I am high maintenance.
The closest I get to “roughing it” is not washing my hair for three days and being seen in public in sweatpants and mascara.
This year, I have attempted to economize by reducing the expenditure on the maintenance of body parts not seen. This has saved me $55 a month and a lot of pain downstairs…even after The mandatory two ibuprofen and a wine.
I have replaced this treatment with the “brow wow” and ongoing brow maintenance.
I took to my eyebrows in 1994 on my O.E (there was blood people!) and have been obsessively plucking ever since. Some might say…”over plucking” at times. I name my mother. Who hasn’t seen the bulk of her brow since the 1960′s.
I decided recently to grow my tadpoles back to see what they would look like as 2013 caterpillars. “Professionally tamed” of course! What an ordeal the growth period has been. I look in the mirror and keep seeing my father!!! Some of those
hairs were poking out like antennas…to say nothing of the white ones. Thank God my fringe covered them!
Anyhow, the young lovely at OFF Wax Bar has been working magic at the other end of my anatomy (even if my niece told me last night that I don’t look any different and big eyebrows are disgusting!). I think they make me look more youthful and I can stave off the addition if Botox for a little bit longer.
Compared to the hair on my head…this is a small investment! What makes you high maintenance?
